Behind the music

About Bunnerz.

Bunnerz are the UK drum and bass duo of Marco and Ben. Coming out of Watford, the friends began producing together in their early twenties after getting into the music as teenagers. Their early bootleg of Jorja Smith’s Blue Lights became a recurring reference point in their development, although the pair have since spoken about how far their production has moved on.

Collaboration is central to their way of working. Their 2022 Bunnerz & Friends EP on Cryptik brought together Jappa, Dreps, Kombo, Blckhry, Magenta, and Zeba. The project followed the Undercover EP for Bagged & Tagged, and grew from an idea the duo had initially discussed with that label.

Speaking to 1 More Thing, Bunnerz described their mixing in terms of quick movement between rollers and jump-up, guided by the chemistry between them. Their artist hub also documents later releases including Over Looked, DPMO, and Drones Ahead, alongside the single Where It All Began.
