About Fleck.
FLeCK is an Athens producer and DJ whose jungle draws on reggae, dub, and the soundsystem music that first caught his imagination. His records and remixes connect Greek bass music with vocalists and producers from the wider international scene.
An early interest in hardcore, breakbeat, and jungle led him towards making the music himself. In Greek interviews, he has described the appeal of samplers and synthesisers, with production offering a way to explore the sounds he had been hearing on radio and records.
Collaborations have brought him together with Zion Train, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Congo Natty, Soom T, and DJ Vadim. His catalogue also links him with Aries and Jinx in Dub, while releases have appeared through Dread Recordings, Serial Killaz, NICE UP!, and Universal Egg.
Jungle Tales, Anansie, and his remix of Demolition Man’s Don’t Give Ah provide starting points in that catalogue. A remix of Jinx in Dub’s Reality takes the same approach to vocals from Rider Shafique and Gigante, with the original artist explicitly describing FLeCK’s version as a jungle edit.
