About Freek.
Freek is a London drum and bass DJ and producer whose catalogue moves between jump-up and liquid. A self-taught producer, he made his first digital release in 2010 and has described guitar and piano among the instruments that feed his musical ideas.
Cobalt 60 appeared on RAM Annual 2016, followed by further compilation appearances across RAM and ProgRAM. In 2019, his Therapy / Lately single made the contrast in his writing explicit. Speaking to Magnetic Magazine, Freek explained that he wanted a heavy, bass-led side paired with a melodic vocal track to demonstrate the different styles he liked making. Therapy also featured a vocal from MC Jack Knife.
