Konetix

Konetix is a British drum and bass producer and DJ whose work extends from vocal collaborations to running Melted Face Recordings. The label began as a way to release his own music on his own timetable, giving him control over artwork, promotion, and the shape of each release before he began opening it to other producers.

His recording credits include Kraken with Mr Traumatik, a Multidimensional Music release that reached the Official Independent Singles Breakers Chart in January 2023. He later remixed DJ Rap and General Levy’s Life of the Party, following an introduction through a mutual colleague. Rap’s response led to an ongoing working relationship.

In 2024, Konetix released the Pistol EP, including Ain’t Nobody, on his own label. He described the record as a personal turning point in the studio, when something he had learned helped him move closer to the sound he wanted.

The same year, he received mentorship through Pirate Studios and Relentless, working with SHERELLE on his creative direction. That programme also helped bring about a set at Boomtown’s Wrong Side of the Tracks stage, a particular milestone because Boomtown had been his first festival as a raver seven years earlier.
