Behind the music
About KRITIKAL.
KRITIKAL is a drum and bass producer and DJ from Perth, Western Australia. His output includes both original music and bootlegs, with releases through Crucast, Monstercat, and Wobbles & Waffles.
He appeared on Crucast’s CruClash Australia tour in 2025, playing opposite Loboski on its Perth leg. He followed that appearance with his Crucast debut, Muevete, in April 2026. The label describes the record as a meeting of rolling drum and bass and Latin-inspired rhythms.
Collaboration also brought him together with Macky Gee for Here For You, released through Down 2 Earth Musik in May 2026. Writing about the release, KRITIKAL’s manager Oliver Tryon described a production developed over months and across time zones, combining Gee’s aggressive melodic approach with KRITIKAL’s bass-led sound.
His work on Wobbles & Waffles includes Girls, whose production puts jump-up at the centre of a vocal-led track. Alongside that material, WATCHDIS! places him in Monstercat’s catalogue.
