Lemon D

Lemon D is Kevin King, a South London jungle and drum and bass producer also identified in records as Lemonde and Eskobar. His solo catalogue runs through labels including Metalheadz, Prototype Recordings, and V Recordings, alongside his own Planet Earth imprint. Those recordings have their own identity within his wider partnership with Dillinja.

The partnership led to Valve Recordings in 1997. Its first release paired Dillinja’s Violent Killa with Lemon D’s 12.01, and the producers later developed the Valve Sound System together. The system made its club debut at London’s fabric in 2001, putting their concern with bass reproduction into a physical touring setup.

Archive releases have continued to make previously unavailable solo material accessible. V’s Legends series issued Wu Tang alongside The Lost Dub Mix, with the label distinguishing the rolling original from the alternate version’s more forceful approach. The release is credited to Lemon D rather than to the Valve partnership.

His All Junglists EP appeared through Infrared Records in December 2024. The four-track release includes Danger, Come Down, All Junglists, and High Tech Souls. It places further original productions beside the recovered archive material, giving his recent catalogue a clearer shape than a biography restricted to the 1990s.
