Behind the music
About Skrimor.
Skrimor is a Poland-based drum and bass producer whose neurofunk combines a heavy sound with a taste for funk and playful ideas. His musical background began with guitar in a nu-metal band, before discovering bass music in Vilnius in 2007 and moving further into electronic production after settling in Poland.
His first releases as Skrimor arrived in 2023, including the GAS EP on Axon and music for Neuropunk. Kickback helped introduce his sound to other producers and DJs, and releases followed on Eatbrain and Evolution Chamber. The latter became a close working relationship, giving him space to shape artwork as well as music.
For his 2024 Evolution Chamber single, Boogie Woogie drew on a phrase remembered from childhood, while Club Girl looked back towards the drum and bass he loved from RAM’s earlier years. He has described his approach as developing an individual sound rather than pursuing a perfectly clean finish. In 2025 he released Red Shift with Receptor, continuing his work within heavier drum and bass.
