The Sauce is the Bristol drum and bass partnership of DLR, Hydro, and Total Science’s Spinback, releasing jungle and rollers through their own imprint.

About The Sauce.
The Sauce brings together DLR, Hydro, and Spinback from Total Science in a Bristol drum and bass partnership. Each had an established production history before they began working under the shared name.
An early introduction came through their remix of Total Science’s Nosher. Their first release on DLR’s Sofa Sound Bristol followed in October 2019 with Mr Robot, featuring Aioli, and The Click. The records established both their shared production identity and a connection with the Bristol label.
They also developed The Sauce Recordings as a home for their own work, beginning with The Sauce and Untouchable. Their recordings for other labels include Spooked / Down Like This on Playaz, while their own imprint has continued to carry material such as Black Cat Hot Sauce.
The latter release draws on jungle and rollers. Its 2022 appearance was part of a run of summer singles, giving the trio a way to release individual tracks through the imprint they controlled. Spinback has described The Sauce as a recording partnership alongside his continuing work with Q Project in Total Science.
