Zeds Dead launched Deadbeats in 2016 with Northern Lights. Nebbra’s You EP followed, introducing future bass, trap, and glitch-hop into an operation whose interests extend well beyond drum and bass.
That wider electronic scope also makes room for IMANU, whose debut album Unfold was released through Deadbeats. Its music was shaped by his experiences with different genres, rather than being presented as a purely drum and bass project. The We Are Deadbeats compilations bring multiple producers together, showing the variety within the label’s releases.
