Oliver Ferrer and DJ Koiti founded Luvdisaster Records in São Paulo in 2008. Their aim was to promote Brazilian electronic music while bringing in artists from further afield, giving the label both a local base and international connections.
Ferrer’s own recordings helped build those links. Amen & Love EP included a Lynx remix, while Physics and Duoscience remixed Into Me. His Soul Tunes EP, My Soul, and Spiritual also form part of the catalogue.
The Brazilian artists include L-Side, DJ Chap, Andrezz, Simplification, and Drumagick. Brazilian Team mixed by DJ Patife brought contributors together in one collection, and a 15-year compilation revisited the label’s history. Eduardo Oliveira has worked as label manager and A&R, helping support the releases beyond the founders’ own music.
