3VS

3VS brings together Akuratyde, Monika, and Tellus, a production partnership working across the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. The project sits around drum and bass’s experimental edges, bringing the producers’ shared interest in texture and melody into a collective setting.

Their four-track Red Sun Drive EP arrived on None60 in April 2020. The label highlighted its mixture of intricate rhythms, warm bass, and noise, with Akuratyde also supplying the artwork.

The following year, In Love EP appeared through Modern Conveniences, the label Akuratyde founded in 2020. It drew on several rhythmic approaches: the title track’s halftime jungle, footwork on Monuments, and a move towards techno and garage on Autumn Leaves. Pulse Notes, made with Jaskin & Uneven, brought an autonomic thread to the record, which was mastered by Fanu.

Their 2021 releases also included Don’t Wanna Let Go on Unchained Recordings and Elevated State on none60. The range within In Love EP makes the trio’s approach especially clear: drum and bass provides a connection between the producers, while the individual tracks leave space for other tempos and rhythmic forms.
