Behind the music
About Alcemist.
Alcemist is a drum and bass producer and DJ from south-east London whose early, spacious productions have developed into a catalogue of vocal collaborations and club records. His work brings together MCs and singers from outside drum and bass as well as artists within it.
One of his earliest releases was the shared Into The Dark EP with Parallel, issued by Incurzion Audio in June 2019. Further music followed through DnB Allstars Records, including Gone and Peace. Those records established the quieter, more minimal side of his production before later collaborations took his music in other directions.
With Coco, he made Stan Smith, then returned to the track for a garage VIP. His collaboration with Campbell, Would You (go to bed with me?), reworked Touch & Go’s earlier song, with a further version featuring Caity Baser. His catalogue also includes a remix of Becky Hill’s Never Be Alone (Alcemist Remix) and Curtain Call with ARTAN.
In May 2026, Shogun Audio released Search Deep, his collaboration with DRIIA. The label describes a spacious vocal introduction opening into a more powerful, anthemic track, showing a different side of his work from the early EPs. Other releases that year included STEPPAZ with JayT MISC.
