Behind the music

About Ben Kama.

Ben Kama is a Finnish producer and DJ whose drum and bass catalogue sits alongside interests in house, techno, and bass music. He has released music through Santorin, Celsius, Regal, and In Da Jungle.

His early work included a series of freely shared reworks. In 2010 he recast Kenji Kawai’s Making of a Cyborg, explaining that he wanted to combine its familiar soundtrack samples with his own production approach. He also collaborated with DJ Cell on an unofficial drum and bass remix of Enigma’s Carly’s Song in 2012. Fellow Finnish producer Mineral featured his Kaseva rework Someone in a free-track series in 2010.

Regal Records issued Work It Out / That Sound in 2011, identifying him as a Helsinki-based producer. Blink later appeared among the exclusive tracks on Drum&BassArena 18 Years, released in 2014.
