Behind the music
About Critycal Dub.
Critycal Dub is a Brazilian Drum and Bass project founded in 2006 by DJs David Almeida and Thiago Borges. Built on a mission to push the country’s scene beyond its limits, the duo quickly earned attention with versatile releases across liquid, jump-up and jungle. Their breakthrough came when DJ Andy passed music to Bryan Gee, leading to signings on Chronic and V Recordings with cuts like Rude Bwoys and Silence. Now led solely by Almeida, Critycal Dub has released on Liquid V, Chronic, Deep in the Jungle and more, drawing support from DJ Marky, Fabio, DJ Hype and BBC Radio. Known for fusing emotional depth with club-ready weight, the project continues to carry Brazil’s Drum and Bass onto the world stage.
