Behind the music

About Disaszt.

Disaszt is the production and DJ alias of Vienna’s Daniel Fürst-Zoffel, whose work extends into promoting and releasing drum and bass. He began DJing in 1998 with the Bass Infection crew, formed alongside Phazes and Dom.n.k, before establishing the Mainframe event series in 2002.

Mainframe began at Vienna’s WUK and subsequently moved to the larger Arena. Alongside those nights, Mainframe Recordings became a home for his productions and collaborations. The label’s catalogue includes his work with The Clamps and a range of releases under his own name.

His connection with The Clamps includes Popcorn Machine, documented on both his own SoundCloud and Mainframe’s account in 2020. The Mainframe catalogue also contains Don’t Know Us featuring Marianna Ray and In & Out featuring Phentix and Patch Edison.
