About Dub Defense.
Dub Defense is a producer and remixer whose own description of the music brings together dubwise, jungle, and liquid drum and bass. Reggae runs through that identity, alongside releases that give the different strands their own space rather than treating them as interchangeable names.
The five-track Dub Is the Key EP appeared in 2016, offered as a free release through his own account. It was followed by Collie Weed EP in 2017 and the longer Temple Dub LP in 2018, building a catalogue beyond individual compilation tracks.
A release through Soul Deep Recordings also connects him with the label’s artist roster. His own Bandcamp catalogue continued with Herbman Foundation EP in July 2025, bringing together the title track, Know the Truth, Bushmaster, Ganja Weed, and Four Birds.
Those self-released records provide a useful starting point for following the music, with shorter EPs and a full-length project available in the same place. His stated interest in both jungle and liquid is supported by that artist-controlled catalogue, while dubwise describes the reggae connection running through the work.
