Dub Motion

Dub Motion is a London drum and bass producer whose early releases revealed an interest in both hard-hitting club music and warmer, more melodic tracks. That range was already apparent during his work with CYN, the label associated with Cyantific, before releases on Titan Records brought it into sharper focus.

Azure / Infected appeared on CYN in 2014, alongside the smoother Soul Intention. The tracks introduced different sides of the same producer: bass-heavy material for a busy floor and music with more room for atmosphere. Buss It Up then appeared on the Drum&BassArena 2015 compilation.

Titan's Warning / Mercury release continued the contrast. Warning supplied the heavier side, while Mercury used warm chords, a short vocal phrase, and a rolling bass groove. The label connected its mood with the work of Calibre and Technimatic, while emphasising the weight Dub Motion brought to the production.

Those records are useful starting points because they let listeners hear the differences directly. His catalogue includes the Skyfall EP and later tracks such as Feeling U, but the early CYN and Titan releases already establish the central appeal: a producer interested in how much atmosphere a club tune can hold, and how much force a melodic track can carry.
