Behind the music
About Fabio Kura.
Fabio Kura’s musical background brings together the classic rock he heard through his father and the roots samba introduced by his mother. Raised in Niterói, in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, he began DJing in 1994 and discovered drum and bass in 1997.
His recorded work includes Love Flavour, released in 2012, with By Your Side, Think Twice. Brazilian Flavour Vol. I followed through DNBB Recordings in 2014, pairing Divida with Ultramen and Janaina with Mayte Rodrigues.
His own catalogue also includes house reworks and other song-led material alongside drum and bass. Brazilian Groove EP, issued in 2026, returns to liquid funk and his self-described drum-and-bossa approach. Tamara Veiga features on Dessa Vez Fui Eu. Fred Müller also appears on You Still Have a Beautiful Lips.
