Behind the music
About Funkware.
Funkware is a Bulgarian drum and bass producer with a catalogue centred on melodic, funk-influenced records. His releases include work for Soul Bros. Records and a substantial run through Funkstuff Recordings.
His Soul Bros. debut, Like Your Heart / Crazy Cut, appeared in 2013. He returned with The S EP in 2014, a four-track release whose titles all begin with the same letter: Superman, Snow White, Silver Water, and Sunshine. The label places that material within liquid funk and soulful drum and bass.
Funkstuff later released the self-titled Funkware collection, followed by records including Devetaky, Lobster Boy, and Funk In A Bottle. His own uploads also document Jazz Liberator and Groovin’ In Paris on Funkstuff.
