About Greekboy.
Greekboy is a Greek drum and bass producer and DJ whose musical background takes in hip-hop, funk, jazz, disco, house, and rock. Originally from Zakynthos, he traced his introduction to rave music to a late-1990s radio broadcast, moving through breakbeat, jungle, and hardcore before settling into drum and bass.
His connection with Soul Deep led to the Electronic Heaven album in the label’s Artist Spotlight series. In the accompanying interview, he spoke about wanting his music to make people feel something, placing emotional connection at the centre of his production. He also explained that he had used Ableton Live from the beginning, and described his music as mainly ambient and atmospheric. Away from the studio, he recalled a first shared performance in England with his close friend and co-producer A.K.A at a Soul Deep versus Smooth N Groove event.
The 2021 Odysseia LP for Liquid Drops brought together a longer collection of his work, including Telekenesis with A.K.A and the bonus collaboration Journey to Space with MSDOS. The Sante Mira EP for In-Reach documented his deep and atmospheric side, with the label describing a range that also takes in rolling drum and bass.
