Isaac Maya

Isaac Maya is a drum and bass producer and DJ from Mexico City, with a sound rooted in dubwise jungle and jump-up. He began DJing in the late 1990s, building a career that combines international releases with the work of keeping a local scene active.

His music has appeared on Jungle Cakes, Grid Recordings, Technique Recordings, Formation Records, and Circus Records. Collaborations and remixes connect him with Ed Solo, Benny Page, Twisted Individual, PAV4N, and DJ Rap, giving the catalogue links to several generations of bass music.

He also runs Low Freq Records, providing a home for drum and bass in Mexico. When Drum and Bass Proper visited him in 2025, its profile placed his studio work alongside the events helping introduce younger listeners and DJs to the music. His appearances have included EDC Mexico and Outlook, while the nights at home give that wider experience somewhere to return to.
