Behind the music
About Leaf.
Leaf makes drum and bass with a taste for the unusual, developing his productions through releases on Sub-Liminal, Serial Killaz, Grid, and AudioPorn. His background includes reggae, dub, and psychedelic rock, music introduced to him by his father and discussed in his UKF interview around the release of the Warp EP.
The AudioPorn debut also revisited an unexpectedly early piece of work. Murderer began as the first tune Leaf had properly finished. After rediscovering it years later, he kept the musical idea and melody but replaced the drums and bass, bringing an older composition into the EP’s final shape.
Serial Killaz had introduced his debut EP in 2016, including Advice featuring Primo. His own catalogue and studio previews also document work with Hexa and Warhead, while his artist account connects that material with releases for Sofa Sound and RAM.
