Behind the music
About Lottie Jones.
Lottie Jones is a vocalist, songwriter, and performer whose recording career moves between liquid drum and bass and more direct dancefloor songs. Her collaborations with Fred V provide a thread through that development, beginning with her featured vocal on Proximity in 2019. The indie-electronica title track placed her voice in a different setting from the drum and bass records that followed.
She returned with Fred V on Apeldoorn Jamming / Atmosphere in November 2020, with her lead vocal at the centre of the latter track’s soulful liquid sound. Homesick, released in May 2023, marked their fourth collaboration, following Proximity, Atmosphere, and Radiate. Its vocal harmonies and songwriting bring her into a brighter dancefloor setting.
Her work also includes Calling Out Your Name with MANIA and Tom Wigley, released by NCS in January 2024. In 2026, Surrender put her own name at the front of a Make Your Era release. She described writing its melody and lyrics at home in Bristol, recording the idea, and sending Fred V a voice note so he could develop the track.
