Behind the music
About M-Church.
M-Church is Swansea drum and bass producer Mike Churchill, whose releases include work for Soul Deep Recordings and Smooth N Groove Records. The liquid side of his music is particularly well documented in that catalogue, from The Marsh to the longer-form Heaven.
Released by Soul Deep in December 2022, Heaven brings together 10 tracks written and produced by Churchill. Alongside solo pieces such as Birds of Summer, Lost In Pads, and the title track, it includes Belong with Washer. The release sits within liquid and atmospheric drum and bass.
Smooth N Groove provides another thread through his recordings. Perspective appeared in January 2021, with Tunnel Vision following in July 2022.
