About Nami Ongaku.
Nami Ongaku, a Russian drum and bass producer and DJ, hails from Vladivostok, where he first encountered the genre's rhythms alongside the coastal city's humid sea air. This unique environment, combined with his introspective nature and attention to detail, has significantly influenced his innovative sound.
Relocating to St. Petersburg, Nami has developed a distinctive style that blends focused beats with 'alien funk' basslines, ranging from live-sounding two-step grooves to neo-jungle breakbeats and modern steppers. His commitment to pushing sonic boundaries is evident in his productions.
In 2019, Nami released the Nami Artist Pack through Ghost Syndicate, offering a collection of his signature sounds to fellow producers. This release not only showcased his production skills but also contributed valuable resources to the drum and bass community.
Nami's dynamic DJ sets have captivated audiences, and his tracks have been featured on platforms like Drum&BassArena. With a growing international presence, he continues to influence the evolution of drum and bass, inspiring both listeners and upcoming artists.
