About No Concept.
No Concept are Brian and Russ, the producers previously known together as Glass Cobra. Brian had already made his name in dubstep as Dubba Jonny; Russ, also known as Russla, was a DJ and promoter in Bournemouth. They met through Russ’s Subsoil night and began writing together before giving the partnership a name.
Glass Cobra released music through A.M.C’s Titan Records label from 2016. Their move to Technique Recordings came with the No Concept name and the Soundcheck EP, which included Nowhere to Hide and 4 Dayz.
Dancefloor drum and bass became their main direction after experiments with other tempos. They kept an interest in sound design without setting a fixed subgenre for the partnership, making room for vocal tracks and deeper material alongside the heavier club records.
