Behind the music
About Nu:Logic.
Nu:Logic is the collaborative drum and bass project of brothers Dan and Matt Gresham, better known individually as Nu:Tone and Logistics. Associated with Cambridge and Hospital Records, the partnership brings together two established solo producers rather than replacing their separate artist identities.
Their debut album, What I've Always Waited For, arrived in March 2013. It combined vocal collaborations, instrumentals, and short interludes, giving the shared project room to explore more than a sequence of club singles.
The second album, Somewhere Between The Light, followed in June 2017. Dan described its direction as deliberately emotive and soulful, while emphasising that both brothers enjoyed making a broader range of drum and bass.
Their musical understanding developed over years of collecting records, DJing, and learning production through trial and error. Both became interested in drum and bass in 1995, before online tutorials made the process more accessible. That familiarity also informs their joint DJ sets: knowing each other's selections and sharing an approach to building a set allows them to work spontaneously, without planning every transition in advance.
