Behind the music

About Nymfo.

Nymfo is Dutch drum and bass producer and DJ Bardo Camp. His early education came through tapes of British pirate radio and jungle compilations, before working with Icicle helped turn his interest in production into records. Their collaboration Shadows Of Tomorrow and his solo Cybernetic Disorder appeared on Critical, establishing a taste for rolling rhythms and warm, Bristol-influenced bass.

Matchstick, released by Klute’s Commercial Suicide, was an important step in finding his own sound. Nymfo has since moved between harder material and more melodic records, with releases spanning Dispatch, C.I.A., Spearhead and Liquicity. His collaborations include Farore with Maduk and River Flows with flowanastasia, alongside the tougher pressure of his solo work.

He has also taken on a wider role through Love For Low Frequencies. In a 2024 interview marking the label’s first year, he described preparing its first five releases before launch and making direct contact with artists central to the job. The project brought together releases, writers’ camps, and a Kool FM showcase.
