Behind the music

About Omen Breaks.

Omen Breaks is a Nottingham jungle producer and DJ who co-founded UK Jungle Records with The Junglord in 2014. Also known as Marcus Waterfall, he helped build an outlet for the music around him, with releases and collaborations becoming part of the label’s shared identity.

His own productions include Lick Shots Fwd, while Stick Up Kids brought him together with Supa Ape. Other collaborations have involved Origin One and Dub-Liner. That recurring exchange between producers is visible in the label’s catalogue as well as in his individual releases.

Hip-hop sits among his stated influences, alongside jungle, and his own account carries productions as well as DJ activity. Rather than keeping the studio separate from the local scene, his work connects records, events, and the people making the next tune.

He also lists involvement with Jungle Cat, The Jungle Project, and Deeper Than Roots. Those connections place Omen Breaks within Nottingham’s wider soundsystem community, with UK Jungle providing a release platform that reaches beyond the city. His records are one part of that work, alongside helping other artists get theirs heard.
