Behind the music

About Polygon.

Polygon is the Utrecht drum and bass duo of Elliot and Julian, brought together after being booked for the same event. A later back-to-back set gave them the chance to spend more time together, and they began making music as a partnership. Their name reflects the idea of showing different sides of themselves through music.

They describe their approach as melodic aggression: tunes that carry a clear melody while retaining the energy they want from a club record. The balance also shaped how they worked together. In a 2019 interview, they spoke about learning from each other’s production and DJ skills, and the importance of being open when their ideas differed.

One Day / Without Me arrived on Liquicity in February 2018, with One Day showing their liquid side. Their connection with the label grew through releases including Duality, Coming Home, and Unison. Other records include Fusion / The Machine for Korsakov Music.

Later Liquicity releases include All The Way with ROSE, Midnight, and Echoes Of Yesterday.
