Behind the music

About PRFCT Mandem.

PRFCT Mandem were Jev and Aisling, a Latvian and Irish drum and bass duo formed in Manchester. They met while working at a bar, then began going to festivals and practising together at Pirate Studios. Jev brought an existing background in production, while Aisling’s training in dance helped shape their approach to performance.

In their UKF interview, the pair described a shared ambition to make their sets an event in themselves, combining music with movement and carefully rehearsed interaction. Bloc2Bloc provided an early platform, and their releases included Upside Down on Korsakov Music, alongside tracks such as Overture and CNCNTRTN. Their collaboration with B-Don, How We Do, was among the project’s final releases.

The duo ended in 2022. Discussing the decision with UKF, Jev explained that their creative interests had moved in different directions and that preserving their friendship mattered more than continuing the partnership. He subsequently began releasing music as it is Jev, leaving PRFCT Mandem as a distinct chapter of their work together.
