Behind the music
About PRTCL.
Berlin producer and DJ PRTCL works across records, label management, and the organisation of drum & bass events. His own imprint, Notion Audio, sits alongside releases for DSCI4, Flexout Audio, C4C Limited, Renegade Hardware, and Humanoid.
Humanoid also connects him to the practical work behind the nights. In a 2021 interview with The Clubmap, the team described founder Huma's sculpture, production, and visual work alongside PRTCL's role as resident DJ, producer, and label manager. Their working day moved between studios, workshops, and venues across Berlin rather than following a fixed office routine.
His production catalogue includes collaborations with Survey and Sweetpea, as well as the solo Terminal and Your City EPs on DSCI4. With Notion Audio, he has also built a direct outlet for his music and production sounds: releases include Those Streets and the PRTCL Sounds series.
The five-track Offcuts EP followed on 25 April 2025, bringing together Synthesis 101, Analog vs. Digital, Perpetual Grey, Tear Them Down, and Golden Hour.
