About Shiny Radio.
Shiny Radio is the production project of Ilya Solonikov, whose early musical interests lay in hip-hop and turntablism before he began making drum and bass. Active in Russia’s Panda crew, he combined production with DJing and events, and worked with vocalist La Kos.
His recorded work has moved between melodic drum and bass and harder club material. Soulvent released Panda’s Anthem in 2016, while Kos.Mos.Music introduced Money Monkey in 2018 as a single from Bloodline. The label described the original as a jump-up roller, distinguishing it from the different approaches taken by its remixers.
In June 2026 he released the 20-track album Burnout through his own Bandcamp. Its accompanying notes describe a return to chopped breaks, jungle percussion, and turntablism, with liquid compositions and heavier rollers sharing the record. Collaborators include Smoky D, DJ Erik, and Professor Funk.
