About Sirka.
Sirka is a South African-born drum and bass DJ and producer based in London. His early production work appeared on Atmomatix Records, including the two-track Modern Jazz EP, which paired its title track with Don't Let Me Go, featuring Given Nkanyane and Tyler Meiring.
Before that release reached the label's catalogue, Sirka was already playing Modern Jazz in his own sets. In September 2016, he supplied a guest mix for the Atmomatix podcast hosted by Humanature, with the label introducing him as a Johannesburg DJ and producer. His selections placed his own material alongside the likes of Random Movement, RoyGreen & Protone, and Zero T.
That interest in liquid drum and bass also runs through his DJ work, including his Selections #1 liquid drum and bass mix. Alongside releasing music on Atmomatix and Four Corners Music, Sirka founded Broadcast X Radio, extending his involvement into broadcasting and underground electronic music.
