Behind the music
About Skyfade.
Skyfade is Felix, a DJ and producer from Linz, Austria, whose work also extends into motion and graphic design. Alongside drum and bass, his musical reference points include the piano music of Nils Frahm and the electronic songwriting of Fox Stevenson, with Urbandawn and Camo & Krooked among his D&B influences.
Frank Lemon has been a recurring collaborator, with the pair sharing credits on Internet, Starlight, and Rising Tide. Skyfade’s Ember and Switch Funk appeared through High Tea Music, while his YANA Music catalogue includes Reflection, Aries, and a remix of MYKOOL’s Closing In.
Other collaborations have taken him to different labels: Sanctuary pairs him with Novy on YANA, and Crazy, made with Manta, features on the 2025 Eatbrain EP Into The Night. Fresh Recordings, which released his early Dropshock EP, also issued Stairs in 2026.
