Behind the music
About Vibe Chemistry.
Vibe Chemistry is a British producer and DJ whose drum and bass ranges from liquid songs to heavier rave records. His catalogue also reaches into garage, grime, and dubstep, a breadth he has carried into his own label, Make Your Era.
Before Balling reached a wider audience, he had released Entropy, a liquid drum and bass album that included On My Mind. Balling arrived on DnB Allstars Records in 2021 and reached number 35 in the UK Singles Chart in 2022. Its vocal edit brought in Songer, Mr Traumatik, Devilman, and OneDa. The following year, Dancing is Healing, made with Rudimental and Charlotte Plank, reached number five.
Make Your Era gave him a base for his own work and for developing other artists. In interviews about the label, he has stressed originality and practical support over restricting producers to a particular genre. He remains involved in finding artists and the label’s creative direction, alongside a team handling A&R, development, and marketing.
The 2025 mixtape Dopamine, made with Elro and his production alias Lupole, grew out of a writers’ camp. Its 14 tracks included contributions from musicians, singers, and producers, with liquid drum and bass sitting alongside garage and dubstep. That range is already present in his individual records: Same Old Song with HARLEE represents his dancefloor work, while Entropy offers a longer listen to his liquid production.
