Behind the music
About Vici.
Vici is a French drum and bass producer and DJ from Grenoble. His productions span neurofunk and jump-up, with releases for Neksus Sound, Blackout, and Eatbrain. He has described a preference for moving across the genre rather than restricting himself to one style.
His debut album, Flashover, arrived through Neksus Sound in March 2025. That June, Blackout released the Prism EP, which developed the same interest in variety through collaborations with Audio, Forbidden Society, and Neonlight. Speaking to UKF, Vici described Bad Spirits, made with Audio, as neurofunk, and identified the Forbidden Society collaboration as the record’s jump-up track.
His remix work includes Noisia’s Running Blind for Vision and Audio’s Solar Ascending for Blackout. Onstage, he has worked with vocalist and MC Miss Understood, explaining that their performances can also include liquid drum and bass for her to sing over.
