Behind the music
About Voodoom.
Voodoom brings together Bong-Ra and Deformer, with Scapu Lox on vocals. The Rotterdam project describes its music as dark, ritualistic breakbeat jungle, drawing explicitly on early 1990s UK jungle and darkstep.
PRSPCT released Bong Ra & Deformer Present Voodoom in June 2015 as a double vinyl album and digital release. Its tracklist includes Wisi Mang, Rituals, and Sacrifice, setting out the collaboration under a shared project name.
The partnership’s catalogue includes the self-titled Voodoom, Tribesmen, and Voodoom Dubz. On Tribesmen, the title track is joined by The Keeper, Magic Noir, and Drums of Damballa.
