Bass Star Records began in San Francisco in summer 2007 as part of the Geomagnetic label group. Its broad electronic music interests include breaks, dubstep, and electro house, with drum and bass forming one strand of the catalogue.
Veak and DJ Direkt connect it with that strand through recordings including Bassline Pressure, Jungle Renegade, and Light@Honour. Alien Soul MX, Morego, and DoctorSpook are among its other contributors, reflecting the wider range of electronic music released through the label.
