Demand Records is a Swiss label working across experimental, minimal, and soulful drum and bass. EastColors, RoyGreen & Protone, Bredren, Taelimb, and Wingz are among its contributors, with stripped-back rhythms, heavier bass, and melodic material all represented in the catalogue.
The Selects series puts different artists together on a release. Demand Selects #13 paired clÜ and Headroom for collaborative and solo tracks, while other releases include BTK’s Things I Do (SpectraSoul Remix), Bredren’s Backlash, and Submarine’s Backshift.
The liquid side has its place within that range, too, through recordings such as Headroom’s Rosemary and RoyGreen & Protone’s Did They Know. Demand’s catalogue brings those different approaches together rather than keeping to a single subgenre.
