Hidden Agenda founded Dispatch Recordings in 2001, with Ant TC1 helping run it and learning the label business as he went. Ant took over when Jason from Hidden Agenda started a family, and has continued to credit the duo with its beginnings. His involvement extends to working on music with artists: some tracks arrive finished, while others develop through feedback before they are ready for release.
By its tenth anniversary, Dispatch was releasing music from Marcus Intalex, developing Dispatch Limited, and putting on parties connected to Ant’s Momentum night at Leeds’ Club Wire. Its early records are collected in History Remastered Part 1: 2001 to 2003, while DIS25 marks 25 years of releases.
The catalogue continues through artist albums and EPs. Dunk’s Brazilian-influenced minimal album The Art of Minimal followed The Music Is My Life. Serpnt and Brain drew on classic-era rollers for Concrete Jungle EP, with MC Gusto appearing on an alternative mix. Releases from NC-17, Wingz, and Blade sit alongside them; Blade’s Blueprint series also gives collectors limited lathe-cut vinyl editions as well as digital releases.
