Behind the label
The Galacy Records story.
Galacy Records is the Amsterdam-based sister label of Liquicity, giving deeper, soulful drum and bass its own imprint within the operation. Its catalogue includes individual projects from Low:r, Sub:liminal, and Surreal, alongside the Identities compilations.
Identities 2 brings together vocal and instrumental liquid drum and bass, moving between upbeat selections and mellower pieces. Those collections gather several artists in one release, while the singles and EPs follow the individual producers working within Galacy’s musical remit.
That balance is reflected in the artists gathered for the second compilation. BCee, Humanature, Hiraeth, and Leniz appear alongside collaborations by Monrroe and Telomic, and Macca and Vector with Emily Makis. The collection makes room for newcomers and established producers, with vocal tracks sharing space with instrumental music rather than defining the whole label.
