Logan D founded Low Down Deep Recordings in London in 2006, building its jump-up catalogue alongside a growing run of parties. By 2011, those events were drawing crowds of more than 1,000, taking the name beyond people who already bought the records. Low Down Deep won Best Label at the National Drum & Bass Awards in 2015, after finishing runner-up in the two preceding years.

The artists around that period included Majistrate, Pleasure, DJ Sly, Heist, and Pacso, with Serum, Voltage, and Turno also joining the roster. Its City Series gave producers destination-themed EPs, including Amsterdam and Rome. Later releases include Turno’s Back To My Roots EP and Guzi’s Skorpion EP, alongside music from Nu Elementz.

Records and nights remain closely connected through the label’s shop, which sells event recordings as well as studio releases. Low Down Dubs packs offer limited music sold directly to listeners and unavailable on streaming platforms, with exclusive VIP versions also among the releases. Subway Soundz shares the store under its own name and catalogue, giving the shop music from both labels without putting every release under Low Down Deep.
