Workforce founded Must Make Music to keep control of his recordings and release schedule. The label shares its name with his podcast about creativity, and its focus on artists and ideas allows different sounds to develop under one imprint.
Azifm prompted the move beyond Workforce’s own music. The Parchment collections brought in Winslow, Paige Julia, Break, En:vy, and Thread, building a close working group around the label.
Workforce’s Set & Setting and Nothing Iz Sacred sit alongside recordings by Monrroe and L-Side. That expansion keeps the founder’s productions within the catalogue while giving the artists around him a place to release their own work.
