Overview Music

Peter Piper Maxted founded Overview Music in 2018 after working with Lifestyle Music on projects including Signal’s Indirect. He had come to label work through events, online promotion, and a podcast, and brought some existing artist relationships into the new operation. Deep and minimal drum and bass became prominent in its releases, alongside rollers and liquid. The launch party took place at Brighton’s Volks, with artwork and animation accompanying the first releases as Peter assembled the new label team.

5 Years of Overview follows the catalogue in order, beginning with EiZO’s debut and taking in music from Klinical, Waeys, Wingz, and YAANO. Albums have given artists room for larger projects too. Wingz’s debut Ghost followed his earlier releases on the label, with the producer involved in the artwork, promotion, and tracklisting as well as the music.

Collaboration is also part of the catalogue. Waeys’ If Only EP, released in July 2026, grew from writing camps and includes Yellowjacket with Wingz, the title track with Klinical, and She Ask Me Why with GROUND. The annual Overview 2025 collection gathers individual productions and collaborations from across the roster, alongside the EPs and albums released under the Overview name.
