Behind the label

The Soul Deep Recordings story.

Soul Deep Recordings launched on 31 January 2011 with a focus on liquid, jazz-influenced, and atmospheric drum and bass. Its catalogue includes Paul SG, Furney, Malaky, and Future Engineers, with Furney’s So Cold among his releases on the imprint.

The label’s artist connections reach across different countries, with its published roster also including Madcap, L-Side, Loz Contreras, and Flowrian. That breadth sits within a shared interest in deeper music, rather than a single rigid version of liquid. Releases, artist mixes, and events are presented through Soul Deep’s own site, where its mastering service and demo programme also connect it with producers.

Collaborations include Greekboy and Tim Cant’s Atlas and Czar and Scott Allen’s Soul Provider. Scott Allen handles demo submissions for the label, while the related Soul Deep Digital continues to release music under its own imprint name.
