MEL – Night On Fire (TRCD Remix) (VTO Records)

Drum & Bass UK is proud to premiere Night On Fire (TRCD Remix), taken from VTO Records' A New Beginning Part 2, the second instalment of the label's five-year anniversary project.

TRCD wastes little time setting the mood. A distant mechanical rumble rolls beneath expansive pads while haunting choir textures slowly gather overhead, creating a cinematic opening that steadily builds tension. As the break arrives, the remix briefly teases a full release before pulling back into a well-timed false drop, making the eventual payoff feel even bigger.

When it finally lands, wide bass stabs fill the stereo image while a crisp, resonant snare cuts cleanly through the mix, giving the track plenty of drive without sacrificing clarity. Despite its weight, every element has room to breathe, allowing the atmospheric layers to remain an important part of the record rather than disappearing beneath the low end.

Night On Fire (TRCD Remix) is one of nine tracks featured on A New Beginning Part 2, which brings together returning VTO Records artists alongside a wave of new talent as the label celebrates five years of uncompromising neurofunk. Watch the exclusive Drum & Bass UK premiere below.
