Drum & Bass UK premieres Sequence V10 (Last Phase), a haunted, spacious cut from Argentinian producer Noise Souls, taken from his debut album Sequence on Dirtbox Recordings.
A clock-like hi-hat groove sets the track in motion, with warbling high-end synths and intermittent stabs gradually giving way to broad, reverberant pads. The atmosphere is deliberately vast, but the arrangement remains controlled, letting each detail hang in the space around it.
When the drums arrive, Noise Souls keeps the drop confident and minimal. Tight percussion, wide hats and washed synth textures hold the centre, while restrained bass sweeps and a low sub pulse give the rhythm an almost heartbeat-like quality. It is a track that finds tension in its scale rather than chasing impact at every turn.
Sequence brings together the 12 tracks from Dirtbox Recordings’ Tape Pack Series, which delivered one new Noise Souls release on the first day of each month across a year. The album lands digitally on Beatport and Spotify on 28 August, followed by its worldwide digital, vinyl and CD release on 11 September.
