Built around a snarling low-end foundation and a constant sense of forward momentum, the track operates in that sweet spot between neurofunk precision and pure dancefloor weight. Every element feels purposeful. The drums punch cleanly through the mix, while the bassline twists and grinds beneath them, creating a groove that feels restless from start to finish.

What makes Vacuum particularly effective is its control. Rather than stacking layers for the sake of intensity, the arrangement leaves room for the individual elements to breathe. For those discovering the name for the first time, Project Zeus is the solo alias of Dan, best known as one half of long-running UK neurofunk outfit Volatile Cycle. While the project began as a separate creative outlet, the consistency of the output throughout 2026 has quickly established an identity of its own.

Vacuum arrives as part of Project Zeus' debut release for Dirtbox Recordings, alongside the companion track Hiding, offering a darker, more abrasive counterweight to the vocal-led atmosphere of Hiding. With Dirtbox continuing a relentless run of releases throughout 2026, the pairing feels like a natural fit for a label that has built much of its identity around uncompromising underground drum & bass.
