Behind the music
About Charlotte X.
Charlotte X is a London-based vocalist and songwriter working across drum and bass, UK garage, and bassline. Emerging from the capital’s club circuit, she has developed a reputation for a distinctive, emotive vocal tone that cuts cleanly through high-energy production while retaining a melodic, song-led core.
She discovered drum and bass while at university and began writing vocals specifically for the genre, quickly finding her footing within rave-focused bass music. Since then, she has collaborated with artists including Notion, Oppidan, and DJ Hybrid, contributing vocals that balance hook-driven immediacy with club-ready impact.
In 2024, she signed to Songs In The Key Of Knife, further cementing her position within the UK bass landscape. With a growing catalogue spanning drum and bass, garage, and bassline, Charlotte X continues to establish herself as a recognisable voice within contemporary rave music.
